Confident to say the least...

Reid just entered the room and announced..."Woohoo, I'm hot and handsome!"

Need I say more?

Breakfast of Champions!

Yes, that is a popsicle in my boy's mouth. Yes, it is 8:30 in the morning. But, before you decide to lash out at me for "unhealthy habits," just note that he already had a "healthy" granola bar for his "real" breakfast -- it was chocolate chunk. :)

Have a fabulous Friday...we sure plan on it!

Valentine's...First Grade Style

Amazingly, last weekend we had a four day weekend due to the snow and now we have another one that was already built into our school schedule. I am just saying that I could get used to a 2 day work week! So since there was no school today, Reid had his Valentine's Day Party yesterday. Complete with a candy heart game, snacks and lots of valentines!

The candy heart game. Using suction with a straw, the kids had to see who could move the most candy hearts from one plate to another in 30 seconds.

And our competition crazed boy took home the fuzzy heart trophy for first place!

Reid's Valentine, Ellarie.

And last, but not least, I received a special delivery at school on Thursday. My boys surprised me with my favorite flowers. They are beautiful...I'm such a lucky girl to have my two boys.

Snowball Throw Down

We got the word yesterday evening. There was going to be a snowball throw down at the local park on Tuesday at noon. Josh. was. pumped. Reid and Josh taunted each other about their snowball throwing skills the remainder of the night.

These cute boys have mad skills...

The parents gathered up all the kiddos with the excuse we all wanted a group picture, then the dads bombarded the kids with snowballs! Reid was quick to throw up his defensive hands.

Fun times...great memories, but still ready for summer!

Waiting on summer...

We are home yet again with another snow day. I will admit it is very pretty outside with the snow covered trees; however, I am more than ready for the sun to beat down during the day and nights to be filled with the muggy warmness of summer.

Our backyard this morning

Josh and Reid could live in the snow. They love it, so of course, they were out building forts and snowmen as soon as they could get their longjohns on this morning. I, on the otherhand, only ventured out in the snow for a brief moment and that will last me until next winter.

And the snow fort preparation begins...

My little snow angel

So, until this snow storm passes, I will remain bundled up inside the house and continue waiting on summer...
