We headed out early Saturday morning for Vegas and we were making great time and then it started to snow in Oklahoma. No big deal we thought and assured ourselves that we would drive out of it shortly. Wrong. We ended up getting behind schedule by two hours due to the SHEET OF ICE covering the roads. Did I mention the winds? The winds were so strong and the roads were so slick that it would blow entire 18 wheelers across the interstate. Yes, that would be the ones that were right beside us. A little scary, but we made it. We had a great time in Vegas as we always do. Golf, amazing food, relaxation and good family fun.
We started out with a trip to
Las Vegas Mini Grand Prix. Reid L-O-V-E-D this place. They had a huge fun slide, go karts (for all ages), carnival rides and an arcade. In fact, he enjoyed it so much we made it our family outing two nights in a row.

Reid drove these for an entire hour without stopping. He even earned his own "driver's license."

Then Reid and I drove the faster go karts together. We came in first place. We make a great team!

Then Josh drove the really fast go karts by himself. You had to show them your driver's license to even drive these. There were no tire walls to contain you...he had a blast!

Josh said he is pretty sure he could hang with the NASCAR guys.

Aren't they cute?

We are huge fans of the show
Pawn Stars, so since we were in Vegas, we had to do the tourist thing and go see the pawn shop.

We even got to meet the Old Man. We were hoping to see Chumlee too, but he didn't work until the next day. We also got to talk to the oversized gentleman that is one of the security guys for the store. The shop is WAYYYY smaller than they make it out to be on TV. So cool to see it in person though.

My boys at the Bellagio waiting for the fountain show.

We met our good friend, Ryan and his dad for dinner one night and then Ryan joined at the Bellagio Fountains. Afterwards, a street clown made these awesome hats for Josh, Reid and Ryan. Now if that doesn't say cool, I don't know what does.

Reid "posing" with his hat.

Our last night in Vegas, we ate at what is now Josh's all time favorite pizza place,
Grimaldi's. It truly is some tasty pizza. They give you a slice of the dough to play with while you wait on your food. Reid decided we all needed to make our initials out of it.
After pizza, we headed to the David Copperfield show. It. was. awesome. Did I mention during the last illusion, Josh got to go up on stage and oh yeah, David Copperfield MADE HIM DISAPPEAR! How. Crazy. Is. That. So much fun and Reid was sitting on the edge of his seat the entire time. It was a magical night. :)

David Copperfield gave Josh this for participating. So cool.
So Spring Break 2010 is coming to an end. We have enjoyed every minute of it. Another Edgin vacation in the books and so many more memories in the heart.
This looks like you had a blast and I want to be there! Again! I am so glad you guys had a great trip! Missed you blogging! Worried about you, then after this post I remember you saying to went to Vegas!
